A. Paul Filiberto, a now full-time resident of Provincetown, Massachusetts, was born and educated in New York. Mostly a self taught artist, A. Paul Filiberto has studied and painted with several Provincetown master artists, including Joan Perreira, Anne Packard, and Rob Longley, as well as renown New York artists Joan Lord and Kris Woodward.
His love for the diversity of the streets, the light of Provincetown skies, and beauty of the landscape of the Cape is often the subject of his artwork. Through the use of palette knife and brush , A. Paul captures the strength of light and vivid color of Cape Cod's unique natural setting.
A. Paul keeps an open sign on his artist studio and often welcomes fellow artists, professional and novice, to set up and paint beside him. In the artist’s words, “Art is about synergy. Synergy comes from sharing experiences with others.”
His work has been exhibited in New York and on the Cape and is among private collections throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe and is available through Cortile Gallery, 234 Commercial Street, Provincetown, MA , cortilegallery.com.
